Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Kitchen Assistants to join friendly school catering teams within the Exeter area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help provide healthy, nutritious meals to pupils in a safe and welcoming school environment. Working as part of a dedicated catering team, you will support food preparation and meal service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and customer service.
What We Offer
£13.45 per hour.
Monday to Friday working during school term.
Working hours varied between 9:30am and 3pm.

Key Duties / Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of food and ingredients.
Serve meals to pupils, staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Set up and clear dining areas before and after meal service.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively following training.
Wash kitchen utensils, crockery and equipment.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Assist with stock rotation and the storage of food deliveries.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Have a positive and flexible approach to work.
Have good communication and customer service skills.
Be reliable, punctual and well organised.
Understand the importance of safeguarding children.
Desirable Requirements
Previous catering or kitchen experience.
