Cleaner and Light Maintenance Operative | Railway Station Cleaner

35 hours per week | 5 days out of 7, Sunday-Saturday | 7 hours per day | Variable start and finish times

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Cleaner and Light Maintenance Operative to undertake a variety of general housekeeping, cleaning and light maintenance tasks inside and outside railway station buildings.

This is an important role, helping to keep the station and surrounding areas clean, tidy and in the best possible condition for people using the railway network.

Key Duties

  • Weeding outdoor areas and planters.

  • Carrying out general daily cleaning and maintenance.

  • Cleaning offices and toilets.

  • Cleaning pathways and stairs.

  • Cleaning and tidying platforms.

  • Cleaning lifts.

  • Ensuring fixtures and fittings are in good order.

  • Reporting any issues that require further attention.

Requirements

  • A reliable and practical approach to general cleaning and housekeeping tasks.

  • The ability to carry out a variety of cleaning and light maintenance duties inside and outside railway station buildings.

  • Flexibility to work 35 hours per week over five days, including days between Sunday and Saturday.

  • Availability to work seven-hour shifts with variable start and finish times.
