Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Senior Accounts Assistant for a successful and growing business in Runcorn.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while working closely with the Director.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of accounts and payroll and wants to play a key role within a friendly SME environment.
You will support the smooth running of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and providing financial support across the business, alongside supporting the Director with office administration.
What We Offer
Salary up to £35,000 per annum.
Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.
3pm early finish on Fridays.

Key Duties
Process purchase ledger transactions.
Carry out sales ledger administration.
Manage credit control.
Complete bank reconciliations.
Process supplier payments.
Support payroll administration.
Complete VAT returns.
Carry out month-end reconciliation work.
Manage accruals and prepayments.
Monitor cashflow.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Support reporting requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries.
Work closely with the Director to support the financial operation of the business.
Carry out general office administration.
Requirements
Previous experience within a busy accounts environment.
Good working knowledge of payroll processes.
Strong reconciliation skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proactive and organised approach.
Good Excel and accounting systems knowledge.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
AAT qualified, studying towards a qualification or qualified by experience candidates are all encouraged to apply.
Candidates may currently be working as a Senior Accounts Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Supervisor, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, Finance Officer or Payroll & Accounts Administrator.
