Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is working with a market-leading manufacturer seeking a Production Planner to join their expanding team in Merthyr Tydfil.

The role will be fully site based, working for a rewarding and reliable employer.

What We Offer

• Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience.

• Monday to Friday.

• 40 hours per week.

Key Duties

• Develop and manage capacity planning activities in collaboration with the Production Scheduler, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and alignment with maintenance cycles.

• Plan and manage material demand and stock control through the ERP/MRP system in line with customer requirements.

• Ensure capacity planning is fully integrated within ERP/MRP systems to optimise delivery performance, efficiency and cost.

• Manage and maintain data accuracy within the ERP system (IFS), including actioning MRP messages and resolving stock-related queries.

• Load projects into the system following design release, including Master Part setup and validation of key data fields.

Requirements

• Strong experience in production or factory planning roles is essential.

• Advanced knowledge with proven experience using ERP/MRP systems and planning processes.

• Understanding of capacity planning, inventory management and production flow.

• Experience within a manufacturing engineering environment is ideal but not essential.

• Strong IT skills, including Excel and ERP systems.
