Yard Operative | Yard Assistant | Depot Operative

Wellingborough | £13.20 per Hour | 8am-5pm | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours per Week | Temporary (Approximately 2-3 Months)

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Yard Operative to join a provider of manufacturing equipment in Wellingborough.

This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2-3 months, with the potential to extend for the right candidate.

Working within a busy yard and depot environment, you will be responsible for loading and unloading equipment, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring equipment is inspected and handled safely.

As this is an outdoor role, applicants must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.

What We Offer

  • £13.20 per hour.

  • Monday to Friday working pattern.

  • 8am-5pm working hours.

  • 40-hour working week.

  • Temporary assignment lasting approximately 2-3 months.

  • Potential for the assignment to be extended for the right candidate.

Key Duties

  • Load vehicles against picking lists and other authorised documentation, ensuring accurate delivery of fleet items.

  • Unload and segregate incoming equipment to maintain accuracy of goods received.

  • Record the receipt of equipment returned from hire or received from suppliers, maintaining accurate records.

  • Follow all depot health and safety requirements to ensure loading, unloading and stock movements are carried out safely and securely.

  • Inspect equipment for damage in accordance with the quality manual and ensure items are fit for purpose.

  • Use work equipment to complete daily routines within required timescales.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience in an operative role, ideally within an outdoor working environment.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to pass a drugs and alcohol test.

Desirable:

  • FLT Licence, although this is not essential.

  • Full UK driving licence is ideal due to the location, although applicants living locally will also be considered.
