This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, People Advisor, or HR Business Partner to join a well-established corporate organisation on a long-term temporary contract.

Working as part of a professional HR team, you'll provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with managers to deliver high-quality HR support, manage complex employee relations cases, and drive people-focused initiatives that improve employee engagement and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive day-to-day HR support to managers across the business, delivering practical people solutions and HR best practice.

  • Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and performance issues.

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with UK employment legislation.

  • Coordinate and deliver key HR activities, including performance management, learning and development, wellbeing initiatives, and occupational health processes.

  • Produce, maintain, and analyse HR reports, KPIs, and employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.

  • Support organisational change projects, restructures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead and support talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing programmes.

  • Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders, providing trusted HR advice and guidance across the organisation.

  • Support HR projects and contribute to the ongoing development of HR processes and policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior HR Advisor, HR Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, People Advisor, HR Business Partner, or similar generalist HR role.

  • Strong experience managing employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.

  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Experience working within a corporate, professional services, public sector, or large organisational environment.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or above), or working towards this, supported by relevant HR experience.

  • Happy to work on-site Monday to Friday, with occasional flexible home working where appropriate.

What's on Offer

  • Full-time, site-based role in Cardiff.

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • Flexible working hours between 8:00am-9:00am start and 4:00pm-5:00pm finish.

  • Temporary contract expected to run until the end of 2026.

  • Opportunity to join a leading organisation within a unique and interesting sector.

  • Collaborative HR team with exposure to a broad range of strategic and operational HR activities.
