Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Newton Abbot for a Production Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that offers full training, career development and the chance to become multi-skilled across a variety of manufacturing processes.


Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm.
Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm.
39 hours per week.

Key Duties

As a Production Technician, you'll be involved in the manufacture of specialist engineered components and systems. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll receive training across multiple production areas and play an important part in delivering high-quality products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Brazing and soldering a variety of metal components.

  • Forming, bending and shaping metal tubing.

  • Wet spray painting.

  • Silicone moulding and coating.

  • Assembly of components.

  • Packing and dispatch of finished products.

  • Working from engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Carrying out quality checks and supporting ISO quality standards.

  • Working across different production areas to meet manufacturing targets.


Requirements

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products. Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Brazing or soldering.

  • Pipe or tube bending.

  • Wet spray painting.

  • Using hand tools and measuring equipment.

  • Reading engineering drawings.

  • Working within ISO 9001 quality systems.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping.

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
