Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a Precision Machining Technician to join our client's production team in Taunton.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a small, skilled team working within a precision engineering environment.


What We Offer

  • 35 hours per week.

The Role

As a Precision Machining Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of machining and associated production processes to manufacture high-quality precision components.


Key Duties
  • Mount and machine precision components.

  • Clean and finish completed work.

  • Inspect and check components to ensure they meet required standards.

  • Read and work from engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Follow established production processes and quality procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and COSHH compliance.

  • Support other associated production activities as required.


Requirements

Previous experience within a machining or precision engineering environment would be advantageous, although full training may be available for the right candidate.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering or a similar discipline.

  • Some practical engineering or machining experience.

  • The ability to read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

  • A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.

  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment.
