Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic to join a well-established, leading family-run business in Haverfordwest.

Working as part of the Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of mobile and fixed plant equipment, helping to keep the business's operations running safely and efficiently.

Key Duties

• Repair and maintain mobile plant including articulated dump trucks, wheeled loading shovels, 360 excavators, ride-on rollers, mini diggers, pavers, planers and other fleet equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on fixed plant, including asphalt, concrete and crushing equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Complete daily inspections of workshops and maintenance vehicles.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshop and maintenance areas.
• Follow all relevant health and safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Completed an indentured Plant and Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent experience in heavy plant maintenance.
• Previous experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile and fixed plant.
• Good understanding of production processes, health and safety and environmental procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt effectively to changing priorities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional Saturday mornings.
