Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Graduate Buyer to join a leading manufacturing business based in Warrington.

Working alongside experienced buyers, you will support the sourcing and purchasing of engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing equipment, while developing strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams across the UK and Europe.

Please note: This role requires regular travel throughout the UK and Europe. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel are essential.

Key Duties

• Source engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing parts and services.
• Raise purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure on-time supply.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Travel to customer and supplier sites across the UK and Europe.
• Support supplier negotiations to achieve the best cost, quality, and lead times.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement.
• Resolve supplier, delivery, and invoice queries.
• Produce procurement reports and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Support wider procurement and supply chain activities as required.

Requirements

• Recent graduate in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Completion of a 12-month industry placement as part of your degree, ideally within procurement, manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Commercial awareness and willingness to learn.
• Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly throughout the UK and Europe.
