Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an Environmental Operative to join a leading drinks manufacturer based in Crediton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to support environmental and recycling operations across the site. You'll play an important role in maintaining high environmental standards by sorting recyclable materials, operating waste management equipment, and ensuring waste areas remain clean, safe, and organised.

This is an ongoing week-by-week temporary assignment with an immediate start available.

Key Duties

• Manually sort recyclable waste materials produced within the factory.

• Operate baling equipment safely and efficiently to process recyclable waste.

• Maintain high standards of hygiene within waste and recycling areas.

• Ensure waste streams are separated correctly in line with site procedures.

• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards.

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.

Requirements

Essential

• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and work in a physically active outdoor role.

• Ability to work independently using your own initiative.

• Positive attitude with a reliable and flexible approach to work.

Desirable

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, waste management, recycling, or production environment.

• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (preferred but not essential).
