Introduction

My client is a leading manufacturer of lightweight composite manhole covers and containment products for the petroleum and construction industries. They design, manufacture, and export high-strength composite manhole covers, containment chambers, and watertight chamber entry seals.

They are now seeking a multi-skilled Mechanical Engineer to support a varied and hands-on role across the business.

Key Duties

• Mechanical fitting and general engineering assembly work.
• Welding tasks as required across production and fabrication.
• Operation of CNC and manual lathe and milling machinery.
• Supporting general workshop and manufacturing activities.
• Assisting with warehouse duties and occasional deliveries.
• Working flexibly across different areas of the business as required.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering, fitting, or fabrication.
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG or general fabrication).
• Experience with CNC or manual machining (lathe/milling).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Flexible and adaptable approach to varied workloads.
• Strong practical and hands-on engineering ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
