School Cleaning Supervisor

Exeter | £15 per hour | 10 am - 6 pm | Monday to Friday | Temporary

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Cleaning Supervisor to lead the cleaning team and ensure the school premises are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to meet high standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cleaning professional with leadership skills who takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Paying £15 per hour.

Hours 10 am - 6 pm working Monday to Friday weekly during School Term.

Some deep cleans are required in the School holiday periods.

A DBS certificate will be required - Acorn by Synergie will support this.

Key Duties:

• Supervise and support the daily activities of the cleaning team.
• Create and manage cleaning schedules and task allocations.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections.
• Manage cleaning supplies and stock control.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Liaise with site management regarding maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role (supervisory experience preferred).
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to high standards.
