Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Agricultural Mechanic to join a dynamic and growing team in the Tiverton area. Due to continued business growth and customer expansion, the company is seeking a self-motivated individual with around five years' experience who enjoys working independently and developing their technical skills.

The role is varied and involves working both within the depot and out in the field. The successful candidate will support customer needs across a range of agricultural machinery, including fault finding, servicing, repairs, diagnostics and calibration.

Key Duties:

• Fault find and repair mechanical and hydraulic issues in agricultural machinery and equipment.

• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication and inspections.

• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and power tools.

• Check and service all machinery at the correct intervals.

• Fabricate parts as required using a variety of tools and machinery.

• Keep records of inspections, work performed and parts used.

• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations at all times.

• Liaise with suppliers to order required parts.

• Plan and prioritise work to ensure machinery is ready when required.

Requirements:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in vehicle repair and maintenance preferred, although not essential with relevant experience.

• Around five years' experience in the repair and maintenance of modern agricultural machinery, particularly tractor repair.

• Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting knowledge.

• Experience with CNH products and agricultural equipment is an advantage but not essential.

• Background in agriculture, plant machinery, HGV or similar industries highly desirable.
