Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting multiple experienced steel fixers to join a commercial construction site in Exeter. This is a 3 month contract offering the chance to work on high-quality commercial projects.

Key Duties

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings to identify required reinforcement layouts.
• Cutting, bending, and shaping steel bars and mesh in line with project specifications.
• Accurately positioning steel reinforcement within formwork prior to concrete pours, ensuring correct placement and alignment.
• Securing reinforcement using tying wire, clamps, or welding methods to maintain strength and stability.

Requirements

• Proven steel fixing experience within the construction industry.

• Blue cscs card

• Reliable, consistent, and strong work ethic.

What We Offer

• Competitive hourly rate: £26 per hour (CIS available)

• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm

• PPE and tools provided at site

• Possible long term work available after first phase is complete
